CHALLANGE
After several years in the African energy industry, the founders recognised a critical gap-the lack of reliable, structured data for investment and decision-making. Without comprehensive insights, energy projects struggled to gain traction, and stakeholders were left navigating uncertainty.
STRATEGY
To address this, I crafted a brand identity that positions Sonaroid as the trusted source of accurate, data-driven insights in the African energy industry. The strategy emphasised clarity, authority, and accessibility, ensuring that Sonaroid’s branding reflected its mission to empower energy decision-makers across Africa.

BRAND IDENTITY
Guided by strategic insights, the Sonaroid logo was crafted to embody the brand’s core mission. The dynamic interplay of sleek, rounded rectangles forms a stylised ‘S,’ symbolising the seamless flow of data, processing (analysis), and output (insights). This visual metaphor reinforces Sonaroid’s role as a catalyst for clarity in Africa’s energy sector, where data becomes the foundation for smarter decisions
VISUAL ELEMENTS
Sonaroid’s visual identity is built on a structured grid system, ensuring precision and consistency across all applications. The Byzantine blue colour palette conveys trust and expertise, complemented by high contrast for clarity. Inter is a clean and modern typeface, enhancing readability while reinforcing the brand’s authoritative tone. The custom pattern, inspired by traditional African motifs, is a stylised representation of data flow and connectivity.
APPLICATION
Sonaroid’s brand identity is designed for versatility across both digital and physical platforms, ensuring consistency and impact. The logo, typography and colour palette maintain clarity across print materials, websites, and presentations. The custom pattern enhances brand recognition in marketing collateral, office branding, and digital interfaces.
